Whether you are printing for a small group, a large company or for all the people of USA, it is important for you to know the basics of ID card printing. First is to gather the necessary information from the people that need ID’s. Basic information included in the ID are the picture, company name, ID number, name, birth date, department/batch year, signature of the employee/student and details for the “In Case of Emergency” section. It is also part of your responsibilities to keep the identity of the persons for yourself for confidentiality purposes. Next is to create a theme or style of the ID card, including the logo, color, arrangement, etc. Before printing, make sure that your ID card printer is functioning well so that you will not waste materials for errors. Check the placement of the details then finalize the result for printing. After printing, you should have a slot punch ready for the ID holder. Be careful in placing a hole in the ID. Make sure it is in the right place because you could never mend the punched hole any longer once it’s there. At the end of it all, do the after-care for your equipment to make sure it will last long.
